Interview with ReLife Holistic Services

Posted on May 5, 2021

Episode 3 of the Virtual Speaker Series is here!

In April, I had the honor and privilege to interview the owner of ReLife Holistic Services, Audra Zinn. It was a day steeps with plot twists, changes and exploding appliances (a hairdryer, all is fine). Audra and I talk about meditation, calming the mind in a crazy world. We all have a lot of things we’re responsible for families, careers, and being good humans. It can be overwhelming at times but Audra gives some tips on how to come back to center. ALSO – bonus: Did you know she offers corporate programs? You can bring her in and offer y our staff some worksite wellness! Simply a must for this interesting time we’re in.

Scroll on to read more about Audra!

A little about Audra:

What is your education and professional history?

I graduated from Van Wert High school, took college courses off and on but didn’t feel like things really clicked for me. It wasn’t until I understood that there was a whole world out there that existed and revolved around a whole health approach that I realized what I was meant to do professionally in this lifetime.

ll us about your business.

Where are you located?

110 S. Lynn St., Van Wert, Ohio 45891

What services do you provide?

Private, whole-health wellness sessions for the individual, group, and/or business.

How long have you been with your current company?

For the last 17 years, I’ve dedicated myself to exploring health options and educating myself within this expansive field. This first began with the body and learning how to control my own personal health issues. Once I realized what to do in this area of my life, how to look at what I was putting into my body, and what my physical body needed in order to be healthy and happy, I found that I was still having health issues in other areas. It wasn’t until 2014 when I started having serious mental health issues did I start looking even deeper into not only what I was eating and how I was tending to my physical body but at how I was tending to myself on an emotional, intellectual and spiritual level. I had a strong foundation and support within my family and church however there was still a serious disconnect. My life wasn’t mine. It wasn’t until I started digging deeper and learning about who Audra was that I began to see the light and come to a place of restored mental, emotional and spiritual alignment. Once this happened for me, it was placed upon my heart to bring all of these opportunities and experiences to everyone else that needed them, anyone else who was open to connecting more to themselves, understanding themselves better, those who wanted more than mere existence. ReLife has been officially offering classes and private sessions since January 7th, 2019.

What is one way that 2020 challenged you professionally?

We were challenged during 2020 because of the fact that we simply weren’t able to gather because of the restrictions placed upon many businesses. This could have been the end but because of the nature of what we do, the need of our services, we pulled through and have come to serve on an even more expansive platform reaching more people at one time, helping more, serving more.

What impact did covid have on your business?

We were definitely affected as class sizes decreased significantly. We were able to still continue with social distancing guidelines in place but weren’t meeting face to face for private sessions at all. Fortunately, because of our amazing connections within Van Wert, Lima, and the surrounding communities, we were still the go-to when it came to a whole-health approach to the mind, body, and spirit health and wellbeing, enough so that we were able to pivot, continuing to serve our clients with online options and more!

Share a professional success from 2020.

The fact that we have expanded into the online market to better serve our community has been huge for us. ReLife is all about providing access to these amazing and unique services and so for us to be able to step fully into this previously underused delivery method of service, I’m very proud of that. We listened to what our community of clients wanted and needed.

What is one piece of marketing advice you would give another business like yours?

Be authentic. Holistic health services should not be something that is contrived. This field is definitely a heart-based service first and foremost. All of our coaches and teachers are very passionate about what they do and why. This is beyond “just a job” for us. These teachings and experiences come from a place of truth and connection. That is something that cannot be manufactured, not for longevity.
